Millions of Euros Allocated for Future Projects in Rural Regions of Saxony
In an effort to support innovative and creative future projects in rural areas, the Ministry of Regional Development in Saxony will be allocating 3.8 million euros in 2024. This initiative aims to encourage individuals and organizations to actively participate in the development of their regions.
Participate and Win
The “simul+Kreativ” competition invites associations, businesses, cities, and municipalities to apply for the available funds. The application period extends until March 11th. The competition offers various cash prizes, depending on the type of project. Municipalities and their partners have the opportunity to receive up to 150,000 euros, while associations and businesses can apply for grants of either 5,000 or 10,000 euros. Furthermore, funds ranging from 15,000 to 25,000 euros have been allocated specifically for three projects involving young people.
“The competition ensures that innovative projects receive a financial boost and can be implemented on-site in a simple and uncomplicated manner,” stated Minister Thomas Schmidt, a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU).
Empowering Rural Development
The Ministry of Regional Development recognizes the importance of promoting growth and progress in rural areas. By providing financial support to these future projects, it aims to facilitate the implementation of intelligent and impactful ideas. By encouraging individuals, associations, and businesses to actively engage with their regions, the initiative strives to foster a strong sense of community and local empowerment.
With a commitment to streamlining the funding process, the ministry aims to simplify bureaucratic procedures and make it easier for innovative projects to receive the necessary financial backing. This approach allows communities to efficiently realize their ideas and contribute to the overall development of Saxony’s rural regions.
