Lesewelt brings the joy of reading to Wolftalschule

The Lesewelt Ortenau association, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting reading and literacy among children and young people in the Ortenaukreis region in Germany, has extended its reach to the Wolftalschule in Oberwolfach. Thanks to the support of VEGA Grieshaber, a company based in Schiltach, the association is now able to bring the enjoyment of reading to the students of Wolftalschule.

Enthusiastic volunteer readers

Lesewelt Ortenau has recruited a team of dedicated volunteer readers who will visit the Wolftalschule once a week to read to the children. These volunteers are excited to bring stories to life and share the joy of reading with the students. The presence of volunteer readers not only enhances the students’ literacy skills, but also fosters a love for independent reading.

Continuous support for volunteers

In addition to providing reading sessions, Lesewelt Ortenau also offers regular training sessions and workshops on various aspects of reading and literacy for the volunteers. The organization strongly believes in empowering its volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively engage with the students and make reading a truly enjoyable experience. Organized meetings and excursions are also arranged to facilitate networking and exchange of experiences among the volunteers.
