The clock features a strikingly decorated miniature pole to the left of the chalet, with the traditional green wreath and important emblems taking pride of place at the top of it–an exact replica of the real maypole. The merriment of this joyous occasion is best reflected by the detailed carving of two animated couple figurines in Black Forest costumes dancing around the maypole, and a moving beer drinker who animatedly swigs his pint every time the cuckoo clock heralds the hour.
